The proposals provide much needed additional accommodation to complement the adjacent house within an area of outstanding natural beauty. The proposals are on the site of a former double garage, has significant level changes, and is extremely restricted. The proposed accommodation is split over three floors. The upper level is accessed directly from the existing garden, and provides a study/garden room with large windows offering views across the valley. The middle floor has a double garage plus ‘plant’ servicing the house. The lower floor has an entertainment room sunk into the hillside. The proposed section ensures natural light cuts through to this level.
