Previously, this 730sqm site had been occupied by an unattractive and derelict industrial unit. The proposed development of five houses is grouped around an entrance court addressing the approach and the north/south orientation. The roof profile of the houses allow natural light through to the rear gardens. The height of the houses has been restricted so as not to exceed the height of the original industrial unit. The local authority policy stipulated that one of the houses be considered ‘affordable’, sold in perpetuity at a discounted rate.
