This proposal sought to provide 7 townhouses around a central court. The site is within a conservation area, has significant level changes, a number of mature trees (many covered by tree preservation orders), and overlooking issues, all of which required careful consideration. The proposals harness the existing levels. The accommodation of the northern block is lifted up a storey with undercroft car parking tucked underneath. This enables living accommodation to benefit from uninterrupted views to the south and improving the relationship with the gardens. Materials and detailing were selected to reflect the character if the conservation area, with the use of brick, stone and slate.
